Learning-Intention:.W.A.L.T.- ware learning to add to make a whole ten.

Success-Criteria: I know am successful when I can add two numbers to make a whole ten.

Problems: Choose two numbers that make ten than add to find the answer 

1) 7+4+3=14

I know its 14 because 7+3=10+4=14

2) 9+1+7+2=19

I know its 19 because 9+1=10 and 7+2=9 so 10+9=19

3) 9+1+7+2=26

I know its 26 because 2+8=10 and 7+3=10 so 10+10=20+6 =26

4)9+12+8+11+4=44

I know its 44 because 12+8=20 and 11+9=20 so 20+20=40+4=44

Adding on tens-by Harley

Learning-Intention:W.A.L.T-add tens to any number by counting in tens or adding ten together.
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can add tens together.

Problems:
1.40 carvings + 20 carvings =60 carvings
I know that it's 60 because 4 tens + 2 tens =6 tens. 
2.37 bananas + 40 bananas =77
I know it's 77 because 40 bananas + 30 bananas =70 bananas +7 =77.
3.15+5+10=30
I know it's 30 because 15+5=20+10=30.

Leaning Intention.W.A.L.T.-write a report. 
Success-Criteria:I know I am successful when I write a report about whales. 

 Whales are mammals. 

Whales have fins to help them balance. Some whales have sharp teeth other whales don't have sharp teeth. Whales have big tail for swimming forward. 

 Whales have eyes to help them see. Whale has a blow hole to breath.It also help get the salt water out. Whales have teeth to eat fish.

Ash Wednesday -by Harley

 L.I-W.A.L.T.- writing a recount about Ash Wednesday.
Success-Criteria: I know I am successful when I write my story in order,  use capitals letters and full stops correctly.
  

 On Ash Wednesday our school went to church. When we got there Father Andrew was outside starting the fire. Summer was holding the paper that we drew. We drew our favourite things that we gave up to be with God in heaven. 

Then we went inside the church and we sang "Create a new heart in me". Next, Father put the sign of the cross on our forehead with ashes. Lastly everyone went back to their classrooms.
