To Sylvia Park
During
the holidays my mum and I went to Sylvia Park. First we went to the movies and bought our
tickets so that we could watch a movie later on.
After
that we went to the mini golf place. It
is outside. It has a fence, but it does
not have any windows to the outside or a roof.
We got our golf sticks and our balls from the lady.
Then
we played mini golf together. We had to shoot the ball over the water and I
got it in the window. Then it was mum’s
turn. Mum hit her ball and it landed in
the water. Then I got it in the
hole. It was fun for my mum and I.
After
we had finished playing mini golf we went to the bouncy thing. I jumped really high on the bouncy
thing. Mum tried to get me to do a back
flip. I tried but I couldn’t do it that
time. It was cool as.
Next
we went to the movies. We watched
Pan. Pan is cool. Blackbeard is cool. Pan could fly. Blackbeard said, “Look at Pan”. Pan flew and landed safely. When he woke up he was in Blackbeard’s
ship. Peter Pan was the special
one. Blackbeard said, “Do you want some
chocolate”. Pan said, “Yes”. It was an exciting movie. Mum and I liked it.

Happy Father's Day
On the weekend I celebrated Father's Day. My dad and I went to the swimming pools. It was cool! My dad did some bombs in the pool. I swam up and down the swimming pool. There were heaps of people at the swimming pools. I found a friend to play with. My friend's name was Jet. We played tag. I was in. I tagged him and then we played hide and go seek. It was cool! Then we got dressed and went home.

The Museum by Harley
L.I.-W.A.L.T- write a recount
In the holidays I went to the Museum with my mum. We went by bus. At the Museum I saw a volcano. It wasn’t a real volcano but it was big. It was so big that it nearly touched the roof. The volcano was coloured light blue and dark blue. I think that it was made of rock.It looks like a real volcano.

Next we went to see the sharks. They weren’t real sharks. The sharks were all different sizes. Some sharks were big, some were medium and some were small. The big shark had very big teeth. It was scary. It would be even scarier if it was alive and swimming around. My mum took a photo of me and the big shark.
After that we went to visit the Marae. It looked a bit like a house. We had to take our shoes off when we went inside the Marae. There were some people inside but it was empty. We looked at the carvings. They were amazing. I had a neat time at the Museum with my mum.

Mother’s Day
For Mother’s Day I made breakfast for my mum. I made toast and gave her a cookie and a class of milk. Next I gave my mum the Mother’s Day card that I had made at school. She said, “Wow, cool”. Then she gave me lots of hugs and kisses. After my mum had her breakfast in bed I did the vacuuming. Then I did the dishes. Later when it was dark my mum and I went to bed. Mum and I had a great Mother’s Day.
Autumn Leaves
On Wednesday Room 1 students went outside their classroom. My friends and I built a big pile of leaves under the Oak tree. The girls made a big pile of leaves too. Then Miss Craig, our teacher, took photos of us.
Next we lay down in the leaves and put our hands in the grass. The leaves felt cool. They made a crunchy noise like an apple. Then Miss Craig took some more photos of us.
After that we made another pile of leaves. It was a big pile of leaves. Then we threw them up high into the sky. It was lots of fun.
